Male urinary incontinence affects not only men, but the closest people to them as well. It can often mean that men can become withdrawn, depressed and/or irritable because of incontinence and while some men try to keep these feelings to themselves it’s all too common that spouses, partners and other family members share in this condition. Learning more about male incontinence and the variety of treatment options will help you talk to him in a more educated manner.

He wants to be dry as much as you want him to. One study showed that men who wear only one pad per day experience a significantly decreased quality of life over those who are completely dry¹.

I didn’t know how to handle his depression. This wasn’t just his problem.  It is a couple’s problem because I was having to deal with the wet pants, the laundry, the smelly trash. A lot of days when I would do the laundry, the odor would just about make me sick.
